Full description
Embark on an unforgettable journey up one of Banff’s most iconic peaks, Sulphur Mountain. This half-day adventure begins with a ride two-thirds up the mountain, offering stunning views and a memorable experience for all skill levels.
Start your journey at the renowned Fairmont Banff Springs Corral, making it a convenient option for Fairmont guests. From there, you’ll visit the famous Rimrock Resort Hotel before crossing the lively Spray River. Take a short break by the river, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The ride continues down to the valley and up Sulphur Mountain from the Spray River Valley, showcasing breathtaking views along the way. You’ll also pass by the roaring Bow Falls, crossing the river once again before heading back. This extended version of the Spray River Ride offers a comprehensive experience of Banff’s rugged landscapes.
While suitable for all riding levels, beginners may experience some saddle soreness due to the length of the ride. The river crossing is straightforward, but if any riders are nervous, this should be taken into consideration before booking. A scenic rest stop is included, allowing you to dismount and take in the incredible views. Enjoy a snack of the day and relax as you soak in the stunning natural beauty of Banff National Park on this remarkable mountain ride.
