Descrição geral The best way to visit in one day the best aquarium in Europe: Poema del Mar. In addition, you will get to know (and taste!) the history of the famous Arehucas Distillery and visit one of the most beautiful historical neighborhoods of the Canary Islands: Vegueta.

Transfer to the pier of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to take the ferry to Gran Canaria, arriving at Puerto de las Nieves (Agaete). Our first stop will be the Arehucas Distillery, where we will learn the secret of the uniqueness of its rums, a journey through the history, tradition and know-how of Arehucas. In addition, we will explain the process of making rum: the visit will allow you to tour one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe, consisting of 4,308 American oak barrels (about 300 signed by famous people). We will have a tasting of rums and liqueurs, to finish with a good taste in your mouth!

Next, we will go to the Poema del Mar Aquarium, located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This theme park, located on the grounds of Puerto de la Luz and opened in 2017, presents the majesty of nature in three incomparable environments: jungle, reef-beach and ocean-deep. It features the largest curved glass in the world, displaying some 350 species, in enclosures where you will see everything from sharks, piranhas, freshwater stingrays and eyeless fish, to crocodiles and sea dragons!

After this visit, we will move to the downtown area to visit the historic center of Vegueta, which became the foundational nucleus of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at the end of the 15th century. In its squares you will find historical buildings such as the house of Columbus, the Cathedral of Santa Ana, the Canarian Museum, the Literary Cabinet, the Casas Consistoriales and the Atlantic Center of Modern Art. The wide commercial offer of the old part of the city extends next to the Market, and along the commercial street of Triana. After the visit we will return to Puerto de las Nieves (Agaete) to return to Tenerife.
