Descripción General Ride along the scenic base of Sulphur Mountain to a mouthwatering cowboy BBQ cookout at the rustic 3 Mile Cabin. Your journey begins with a leisurely ride along the Bow River, where you can take in the stunning scenery and keep an eye out for local wildlife.

Midway through your ride, you’ll arrive at 3 Mile Cabin to experience genuine Western hospitality and savor a hearty meal. Enjoy a delicious BBQ feast featuring steak cooked to perfection, baked potatoes, cowboy baked beans, and Caesar salad. The recently updated BBQ area provides a welcoming space with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying your meal amidst the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

Before indulging in your feast, work up an appetite with some fun Western-style games like lassoing and horseshoes. This adventure is suitable for riders aged eight and up, making it a great choice for families looking for a unique experience.

This ride is also perfect for families and groups, as it offers the chance for horseback riders to meet up with those arriving by wagon at 3 Mile Cabin, where everyone can gather to enjoy the cowboy BBQ together. Información Adicional Please be at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the departure time of the tourPlease meet at Warner Stables (100 Sundance Road), the big red stables located at the end of Sundance Road in Banff. The stables are located approximately a five minute drive or a 20 minute walk from downtown Banff, and there is plenty of free parking at the siteRiders must be at least 8 years old. Any children under 8 years old or guests over 230lbs can take a wagon ride to 3 Mile Cabin and then re-join the group for the barbecueRiders aged 17 and under must be accompanied on the ride by a legal guardianRiders must weigh less than 230lbs / 104kg, fully dressed (your weight will need to be verified on our scales). Riders must be in good physical conditionEach rider must be able to speak and understand fluent EnglishAll adults must sign a waiver prior to the ride. A waiver must also be completed by the legal guardian of any child under the age of 18Photo ID may be required for identity verificationYou must wear sturdy, closed toed shoes enclosed to the ankle and long pants are best for riding. Please note that sandals of any kind are not permitted. Helmets are provided and are mandatory for all riders and mosquito repellent is highly recommendedNo experience is necessary and if you’ve never been riding before then we’ll be sure to pair you with the perfect horse so you can enjoy a comfortable ride. Our guides will also provide a brief riding instruction prior to the rideGuests cannot bring a backpack on the horse. Bags / belongings can be kept at the barns till guests returnWe reserve the right to limit the availability of horseback riding due to anything which may in our judgement pose a threat to the health and safety of either horse, rider, fellow riders or guidesPregnant ladies must have a doctor’s note to rideRefunds are not issued if guests are disqualified from riding due to not meeting these requirements. Any guest suspected of intoxication or impairment upon arrival will not be allowed to ride and their fare will NOT be refundedOur establishment is located in a remote backcountry area. Due to our unique location, our kitchen operates with limited resources.
