Guided by an experienced cowboy, your sleigh ride will transport you through Banff’s snow-covered meadows, surrounded by the stunning mountain peaks of Cascade Mountain and Mount Rundle. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as deer and elk, as they wander through this magical winter wonderland.

After the ride, warm up by the fire back at the stables with a hot drink in hand (weather and snow conditions permitting). Marshmallows are available for purchase, adding a sweet finish to your unforgettable sleigh ride experience. It is very important in this case to take note that it is the passenger's sole obligation and responsibility to contact the local contact number one day before the service to confirm the exact pick-up point and timePlease meet at Warner Stables (100 Sundance Road), the big red stables located at the end of Sundance Road in Banff. When you arrive, please follow the sleigh ride signs to check in for your ride at the office in the west barn. The stables are located approximately a five minute drive or a 20 minute walk from downtown Banff, and there is plenty of free parking at the siteThere are no age restrictions for this tour and children 3 years and under are free. However, children 3 years and under are not guaranteed a seat (they may have to sit on your lap)Sleigh rides are weather dependent, and may not operate in certain conditions (eg: -35C)All minors under 18 years old participating in a horse activity must have a parent or legal guardian on the ride with themAll adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or legal guardian of any rider under the age of 18 (documentation may be required to confirm the signatory’s authority)Photo ID may be required for identity verificationThe sleigh is “open top” so we recommend that everyone dresses warm with multiple layers, mitts, hats, a thick winter jacket and bootsThe sleigh is a traditional wood construction style, with wooden bench seats. You do not sit on hayTypically there are two horses pulling the sleigh. The horses are a variety of heavy horse breeds, including Percheron horses. There are two different sleigh sizes, a 9 seater and 16 seater. The sleigh may or may not be full on your tourTips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously acceptedBy participating in the tour, guests are acknowledging that they understand that we may take video and photographs of them during their tour.
