Our interpreter guide invites you to immerse yourself in the history of the Palace of Versailles, one of the world's most emblematic royal monuments.
Your guide will take you straight through, without having to wait in line, and guide you through the most beautiful rooms: the State Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen's Private Apartments.
At the end of the tour, you will have free time to stroll through the French-style gardens, which are adorned with magnificent statues, busts and marble vases. From the Pullman hotel in Paris, you will embark on a minibus journey to Versailles. This World Heritage Site is one of the most renowned monuments, having been the official residence of the kings of France, from Louis XIV to Louis XVI and his court, between 1682 and 1789. Accompanied by your guide, you will enter the majestic Palace of Versailles, which symbolises royal power. Its baroque architecture, valuable works of art and luxurious decorations will transport you back in time, as will its exquisite furnishings created by the leading craftsmen of the time. Afterwards, you are free to explore the magical French-style gardens and exceptionally beautiful park.
The Palace of Versailles consists of more than 700 rooms, occupying an area of 67,000 m2. Follow your guide and enter the most impressive rooms without delay: the King's Apartments, including the 7 salons, each decorated around the theme of a god (such as the Salon of Apollo, of Mars, of Mercury, of Venus, among others). The Queen's Apartments, symmetrical to the King's, house the Coronation Hall and the Queen's bedroom, where Marie-Antoinette used to stay. You will also have access to the grandiose Hall of Mirrors, a space of ostentation and reception designed by the renowned architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart. At 73 metres long, it was conceived to dazzle King Louis XIV's visitors, with 17 windows, 350 mirrors and a view opening onto the splendid gardens of the Palace, which form the second part of this experience.
In 1661, Louis XIV entrusted André Le Nôtre with the task of designing the gardens and parks, which were as important to him as the design of the Palace itself. You will have the opportunity to explore the gardens of Versailles in complete freedom, marvelling at the 386 pieces of art (more than 200 of which are statues), the fountains, the landscaped courtyards, the ponds and the small groves of trees. During the summer, you can enjoy various activities, such as the Great Musical Waters, which synchronise multiple fountains to the rhythm of music, providing an even more captivating experience.
