At the designated time, we will begin a comprehensive tour of one of Egypt’s most emblematic destinations, located along the Nile River. Our first stop will be the Luxor Temple, one of the archaeological gems of ancient Thebes. This impressive monument, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is known for its avenue of sphinxes, the majestic colonnade forest, and the imposing statues of Egyptian pharaohs such as Ramses II, which will transport us to the splendor of the pharaonic civilization.
The next stop will be Karnak, the largest temple complex in all of Egypt. This vast sanctuary, dedicated to Amun, will offer us a unique insight into the greatness of the era. The obelisks of Thutmose I and Hatshepsut stand out, with their inscriptions telling of the achievements of these pharaohs. We will also explore the famous hypostyle hall, a sacred place of great importance to Egyptian culture.
After visiting Karnak, we will cross the Nile River to reach the Valley of the Kings, a site that houses the tombs of some of the most famous pharaohs in history, such as Tutankhamun and Ramses II. In this incredible place, we will discover the funeral rituals of the time and explore the Valley of the Queens, where the wives and princesses of New Kingdom pharaohs are laid to rest.
The next stage of our tour will be the Temple of Hatshepsut, known as "the Sublime of the Sublimes." This magnificent monument was built in honor of the only woman to rule Egypt during the 18th dynasty, a period considered the pinnacle of pharaonic civilization. We will conclude the tour with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, whose grandeur will astonish us.
After approximately 7.5 hours of exploration, we will return to your hotel or boat in Luxor, where this fascinating journey through the heart of ancient Egypt will come to an end.
