Day 1: Luxor
The trip starts in the city of Luxor, where you will be picked up at the airport, train station or your hotel, as appropriate. From there, you will board the motorboat that will be your floating home for the next few days. The rest of the day will be free to rest or enjoy the first views of the Nile River as you settle on board the boat, with all the services at your disposal to start enjoying your trip.
Day 2: Luxor - Esna - Edfu
This day will be full of exploration. We will start the day with a visit to two of the most emblematic temples of ancient Thebes: the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. These temples, dating back more than 3,000 years, are the heart of ancient Egyptian religious life and an impressive testimony to the devotion to the god Amun. After this visit, we will head to the necropolis of Thebes, which houses the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatsepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The Valley of the Kings is home to the tombs of the most famous pharaohs, such as Tutankhamun, while the Temple of Hatsepsut, with its monumental architecture, stands in an impressive mountainous location. After a day steeped in history, we will sail to Edfu.
Day 3: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
Start the day with a horse-drawn carriage ride through the picturesque town of Edfu, home to the Temple of Horus, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. This temple is one of the best preserved in Egypt, and its grandeur will amaze you as you discover the reliefs that tell the story of the struggle between Horus and Seth, one of the most famous myths of Egyptian mythology. Afterwards, we will sail to Kom Ombo, where we will explore the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. This temple is dedicated to two gods, which makes it unique, and is famous for its symmetry and reliefs. At the end of the visit, we will head to Aswan, where you will spend the night on board the ship.
Day 4: Aswan
The day will begin with a visit to the Temple of Philae, one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple is located on an island in the Nile and is accessible by falucca, a traditional type of boat. After this visit, you will have the option of an additional excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples (not included in the price), one of Egypt's most impressive wonders, known for the gigantic statues of Ramses II. The day will conclude with a relaxing falucca ride along the Nile, enjoying the breeze and panoramic views of the river and its banks.
Day 5: Aswan
The last day will start with a delicious breakfast on board the boat. You will have free time to shop or explore Aswan at your own pace. At the agreed time, you will check-out and be transferred to the airport, train station or your chosen destination in Aswan, bringing this unique experience on the majestic Nile to an end.
