First, visit the volcanoes and lakes of El Salvador. Listed as the "Second 8th Wonder of the World for 2013": the "Complex of Lakes and Volcanoes" in El Salvador is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, as it brings together one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and a group of the most incredible volcanoes in El Salvador: the Izalco volcano, the Santa Ana volcano and the Cerro Verde volcano. Visit the Cerro Verde Natural Protected Area and take a refreshing sightseeing tour through the ecological trails of the park (approximately 45 minutes).

Cerro Verde is an inactive volcano located at an altitude of 2035 meters and a length of 500 hectares of nature, it has a cloud forest in and around the crater with a temperature between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius. From here you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the Izalco Volcano better known as the "Pacific Lighthouse" because the boats were oriented with the red glow of the lava to reach the port of Acajutla, being the Santa Ana Volcano or the "Ilamatepec Volcano" the largest volcano in the area, and the beauty of nature in the surroundings of this National Park. Visit Nahuizalco, a city where you will see the elaboration of handicrafts in the local market by indigenous artisans who are true descendants of the Pipiles tribes, the oldest culture that lived in these Salvadoran territories. Later you will visit Ataco, you will look at the beautiful and colorful walls as if the city is a huge art gallery, wherever you go through its cobbled streets you will find these beautiful expressions of local art printed on the walls of the colonial houses.
