Descrição geral Explore the key battle sites and iconic beaches of the D-Day landings in Normandy on this half-day tour from Bayeux. Beginning and ending at Bayeux's Quebec Square, the meeting point, this tour will take you to discover the history and sacrifices of World War II in Europe.

Departing at 1:00 p.m., our first destination is Arromanches, where we will learn about the UK's Operation Mulberry, a crucial part of the D-Day landings. Here, we will learn about the logistics and ingenuity behind the construction of the artificial harbours that enabled the successful landing of the Allied forces.

Continuing our journey, we will head towards Longues-sur-Mer, the site of a German gun battery. We will learn about the strategic importance of this site and the role it played in the defence of the coast during D-Day. A visit to this historic site will give us a more complete picture of the challenges faced by the soldiers at the time.

Our next stop takes us to the moving American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, where we will pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and read the names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. This moment of reflection will allow us to better understand the human cost of war.

Continuing our tour, we will arrive at iconic Omaha Beach, where the US 1st and 29th Divisions fought valiantly to establish a beachhead. As we walk along this historic beach, we will reflect on the courage and determination of those who participated in the assault.

After exploring these important World War II sites, we will return to Bayeux, concluding our tour at Quebec Square at around 6:00 p.m. Throughout the tour, our guide will provide informative commentary and answer any questions you may have, ensuring an enriching and memorable experience.
