Discover the fascinating day trip from Brussels to Amsterdam, two of Europe's most important capitals, in the company of the best local guides. This experience will allow you to explore one of the most beautiful cities on the continent in just one day, a trip that will captivate anyone. During your stay in Brussels, you will have the opportunity to discover and enjoy the most open and tolerant capital city in the world.
Amsterdam is a unique destination where you can have fun and fall in love with a charming city whose atmosphere, people and monuments will leave you speechless. At 8:00 a.m., we will meet in the centre of Brussels and head towards the modern city of Amsterdam, located approximately 200 kilometres north of the Belgian capital.
Our tour will start around the Central Station, where we will explain the history of the city's harbour and give you an introduction to the history of Holland and Amsterdam.
We will explore Dam Square, the place where the city had its origins at the end of the 13th century. Today, it is considered the heart of Amsterdam, and here we will take a historical tour of the square's most iconic buildings, such as the New Church, the Royal Palace and the obelisk, erected in honour of the fallen of World War II.
From there, we will head to the oldest part of the city, where the first church was built in Amsterdam. We will continue our tour to one of the most charming areas, De Waag, the only remnant of the medieval city walls.
This place witnessed some of the darkest events in the city's history and also some of the scientific breakthroughs of the time. The former Jewish quarter, where Rembrandt's former home is located, has become one of the most popular neighbourhoods thanks to the Waterlooplein flea market.
We will conclude our visit at the flower market, whose shops stretch along the canal, filling it with life and colour. After the tour, you will have free time to enjoy lunch and explore the city at your leisure, taste delicious cheese and visit Amsterdam's famous coffee shops.
