Perfect for travellers looking for an impeccably planned day, with a mix of historical exploration, vibrant traditions and a culinary journey through the heart of the city.
The day begins with an immersive exploration of the iconic Westminster Abbey, unlocking its historic treasures with our skip-the-line tickets. This 1.5-hour portion of the tour allows you to enter the architectural marvel at your own pace, ensuring an instant connection with its rich history and grandeur. You'll discover the importance of this venerable institution, from royal coronations to iconic weddings and the resting place of historic luminaries.
From there, you'll delve into British traditions as your local guide takes you to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Watch the precision and pageantry as the iconic guards take turns against the historic backdrop of Westminster. Spend an additional hour in the midst of this royal spectacle, capturing the essence of British tradition.
After exploring Westminster Abbey and witnessing the Changing of the Guard, you'll surely have worked up an appetite. The perfect way to continue your day in London is with our Gourmet Tour of Central London, a carefully designed experience that caters for both the curious explorer and the discerning foodie enthusiast.
In intimate groups of 12, you'll discover hidden gems in London's iconic neighbourhoods, while absorbing the stories that have shaped the cuisine in these vibrant locations. The food tour departs from St. James' Churchyard, where the culinary adventure begins with a classic tasting experience. Here, you'll enjoy Scotch eggs, scones with cream and jam, and a glass of sparkling tea to recharge your batteries for the experiences ahead.
Continue your tour at a specially selected Indian restaurant, where you will taste an authentic Indian dish. Some of the best Indian food in the world can be found in London, and our visit is a testament to the city's diverse culinary excellence.
What's next? Probably the most classic dish in British cuisine: fish and chips. Your guide will take you to a local establishment renowned for its fish and chips, where you'll have the opportunity to savour the authentic flavours that define this beloved British culinary tradition.
Now it's time for dessert. Enjoy your first dessert at a nearby Italian bar before your guide takes you to the vibrant streets of Chinatown, a bustling district full of cultural charm. This leisurely stroll serves as a brief respite, allowing you to digest the delicious flavours experienced earlier.
The last stop of your tour awaits you at a historic pub known for its delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding and wide selection of beers. Celebrate the conclusion of your journey by savouring the sweet dessert, while toasting the day's culinary adventures with at least three different beer tastings.
