Full description In this Experience we will get to know Ahu Akivi, the most important ceremonial center of the Rapa Nui culture. We will learn about the mythical and interesting moais and we will enjoy the beautiful natural environment and the majestic views of the island.

We will start our tour from your hotel to get to know the most important ceremonial center on the island, learning about the moais and their relevance to the Rapa Nui culture.

We will go to Ahu Akivi, also known as a celestial observatory since its seven moai look towards the point where the sun goes down at the spring equinox. Legend has it that these seven moai represent the seven explorers who discovered the island after a long journey from their native Polynesia. Here we will enjoy the majesty of its constructions, the natural environment and the impressive views, after which we will return to the hotel in Hanga Roa.
