Full description This route follows the old cobbled "Camino Real", one of the main routes for the movement of people on Madeira Island.

Moreover, by doing this hike, you will be immersed in the old Madeira, as this was an important road connecting the north and south of the island.

Along this trail, it is possible to contemplate the highest mountains of Madeira, as well as exceptional views over the Valley of the Nuns, located in the centre of the island, Funchal, Paúl da Serra, Encumeada, Serra de Água and Ribeira Brava.
