On this tour, our aim is to show you the most representative, emblematic and unparalleledly beautiful towns on the Costa Brava throughout the day. Visiting these towns we will also discover their varied and contrasting landscapes, their famous beaches and we will learn surprising stories that will leave no one indifferent.
Our departure is from the Estación del Norte in Barcelona at 8.30 in the morning. We recommend being there 15 minutes before.
We will take the motorway and around 10:15 we will arrive at Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village, which still preserves the traditional appearance of yesteryear.
A town of great beauty both in architecture and landscape, all of it dotted with small coves, a fusion that makes it an incomparable setting.
We will have free time to visit the town, enjoy its surroundings and take some excellent photographs.
At around 11:15, we will begin a walking tour along the Camino de Ronda, which will take us to the neighbouring town of Llafranc. The Camino de Ronda runs along the entire Costa Brava and was once used to monitor maritime smuggling. Today, thanks to them, you can discover beautiful corners that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Llafranc is also another small, elegant and charming seaside town, with all the attractions typical of the towns on this coast. You will have free time to eat and sample the typical seaside cuisine of this area. Those who wish can also take a dip in its splendid beach on the Mediterranean Sea.
Our next visit will be Begur, a stately town located under an ancient castle and famous for its Casas Indianas. The Indianos were inhabitants of the town who emigrated to America in the 18th century, made a fortune, returned in their old age and built these elegant mansions. Walking through its streets we will discover this very particular architecture of Mediterranean and Caribbean fusion.
Our next stops will be the towns of Peratallada and Pals, considered the best preserved medieval towns in Catalonia.
Peratallada, declared a Historic-Artistic Site and Cultural Asset of National Interest, is one of the best examples of medieval architecture in the country. We will be surprised by its peculiar location on top of a rock, as well as the spectacular moat dug into it, which surrounds the town.
Upon arrival, we will take a walk through its network of narrow and winding streets, we will discover its primitive castle-palace, its unique fortified system and its stone houses with corners practically unaltered by the passage of time.
The last stop will be Pals. A Cultural Asset of National Interest, it is a town located on the top of a hill and almost entirely integrated into an impressive medieval complex. The complex is crowned by a cylindrical tower from the 12th century, visible from afar and which appears as a large terrace with unbeatable panoramic views of the Costa Brava and its surroundings.
Walking through the cobbled streets of its old town, surrounded by stone facades with semicircular arches, pointed windows and artistic balconies, we can feel the magic of having gone back in time.
At 6:00 p.m. we will finish the excursion and return to Barcelona, where we will arrive at approximately 8:00 p.m.
