Full description Your day will focus on the Vézère river valley, nicknamed the Valley of Man, a region that has been inhabited for over 100,000 years.

Your first stop will take you to visit the Maison Forte de Reignac, where a noble family once lived and built their home directly into the cliff face. This house is of rare historical interest and is considerably larger than one might suspect from the outside. Behind the façade hides an impressive underground manor with spacious rooms. Some say that the house is haunted...

The picturesque village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère offers narrow streets and quaint cottages along the river's edge. It has been named one of the most beautiful villages in France and remains one of the most exceptional examples of a medieval village in the region.

No visit to this historic region would be complete without a visit to the Lascaux caves. The caves, now protected, have been recreated in intricate detail in the Lascaux IV cave. For the first time, Lascaux has been fully revealed. A complete, never-before-seen copy tells the story of the discovery of the famous painted cave.

The day starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Bordeaux. From there, you will head to Reignac to explore the impressive Maison Forte. You will then continue to Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère to enjoy its medieval charm. Lunch will take place at a nearby venue (not included in the package), where you can enjoy the delicious local cuisine. Finally, you will stop in Montignac to explore the fascinating caves of Lascaux. After a day full of history and wonders, you will return to your hotel in Bordeaux at around 7:00 p.m.
