Experience a unique chocolate workshop at Choco Story Colmar, where you’ll learn professional chocolatier techniques under the guidance of an expert.
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the museum to begin this sweet adventure. Over the course of 45 minutes, you’ll master the art of chocolate dipping with ingredients like marshmallows, candied orange peel, and praline cubes. You’ll also craft and decorate your own mini chocolate bars, adding a personal touch before taking them home, along with the mold used in the process.
After the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the museum’s interactive exhibition, where you’ll uncover the rich history of cocoa from its origins in pre-Columbian civilizations to its arrival in Europe in the 15th century. With the help of an audio guide, you’ll learn all about this treasured ingredient and its role in Alsace’s chocolate-making tradition.
Your visit includes interactive stations where you can explore different cocoa aromas and watch demonstrations on how pralines and chocolates are made. One of the highlights of the exhibition is an impressive sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made entirely of chocolate, paying tribute to Auguste Bartholdi, the Colmar-born sculptor of the original monument.
To round off this delightful experience, your visit will conclude with an irresistible tasting of Alsatian chocolate.
Important: Workshops are available only in French and English. The full experience, including the workshop and museum visit, lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
