After being picked up at your hotel at the agreed time, we will head to the historic area of Midan Al Qalaa in the heart of Cairo. This tour will allow us to explore some of the city's most iconic monuments, starting with the impressive Al-Rifai Mosque. Built in the 19th century, this mosque is also known as the Royal Mosque, and its modern architecture stands out for its grandeur.
Nearby, we will visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, built in 1361. These monuments represent the best of Mamluk architecture and are considered true architectural gems of the period. During the visit, we will appreciate the splendor and richness of a highly significant era in Cairo's history.
Next, we will head to Ibn Tulun Mosque, the largest and oldest in the city. This mosque, built between 876 and 879, was ordered by Ahmad Ibn Tulun in the ancient city of Al-Qatta´i. Its size and antiquity make it one of the city's main attractions.
After exploring these fascinating mosques, we will take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch at a typical restaurant. The menu will include a variety of salads, a main dish to choose from (meat, fish, or chicken), rice, pasta, vegetables, as well as a selection of desserts and fresh fruits.
The tour will continue with a visit to the Gair Anderson Museum, which houses a rich collection of art and antiquities. Additionally, we will explore the famous Fatimid wall, which houses the street with the highest concentration of monuments from the Fatimid era, allowing us to immerse ourselves in Cairo's medieval history.
At the end of this enriching experience, we will take you back to your hotel, completing a tour of approximately five hours from the initial pickup. Throughout the tour, you will discover the grandeur and historical legacy of one of the world's oldest and most fascinating cities.
