Day 1: A Journey Through Historic Cities and the Traces of the Past

Day one begins early, an exciting start to a journey that promises wonders. The first stage takes you through the western suburbs of Paris, making your way towards the Normandy motorway. After about two hours of driving, the majestic city of Rouen opens its doors to welcome you. With its Gothic Notre Dame cathedral and cobbled streets, Rouen offers a glimpse of the medieval charm that still lives on in every corner. The historical presence is palpable, even influencing impressionist painters such as Claude Monet.

Continuing along the route, you will reach Honfleur, a picturesque port town. Its cobbled streets and colourful houses will immerse you in a maritime atmosphere as you explore this coastal gem. Take the opportunity to savour the local gastronomy in one of its restaurants, immersing yourself in the flavours of the region.

The journey continues to the beaches of the Landing, a momentous part of world history. Historical sites invite you to remember and reflect on the events that took place on these shores during World War II. From the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer to the beach at Arromanches, each site tells a story of bravery and sacrifice.

The day comes to an end at the Novotel in Caen, where dinner awaits to recharge your batteries for the days ahead.

Day 2: Ramparts, Architectural Wonders and Natural Beauty

The second day begins in Saint-Malo, a fortified town that treasures a rich history and impressive monuments. The ramparts, the castle and the Saint Vincent Cathedral are just some of the treasures that will reveal its history before your eyes.

Next stop is Mont Saint-Michel, an iconic landmark perched on a rocky promontory, surrounded by a picturesque bay. Via the Grande Rue, you will reach the 8th century Benedictine abbey that crowns the summit.
