Discover the art of Sardinian myrtle in the Olbia territories for an authentic experience in the heart of eastern Sardinia. You will find yourself in a unique location overlooking the Gulf of Marinella, where you will walk among natural myrtle cultivations, carefully and passionately selected for generations.
Then, visit the production workshop and discover how the berries turn into uniquely and distinctively scented liqueurs. You will also see the steam still, where the harvest and production cycle, starting from the plants themselves, will be explained. Expert guides will accompany you on this sensory experience, culminating in a myrtle tasting paired with various local products, as well as an olfactory tasting of fine essential oils.
You will embark on an irresistible journey through the flavors and scents of Sardinia, an experience that will delight your senses and connect you with the island’s most authentic traditions.
The tasting is for ages 18 and up and it consists of tasting four types of myrtle:
1- Berry Myrtle: 2 cl in a suitable goblet, accompanied by small pieces of traditional pecorino cheese;
2- Berry and leaf myrtle: 2 cl in a suitable goblet, accompanied by typical Sardinian artisanal cold cuts;
3- White myrtle: 2 cl in a suitable goblet, accompanied by dark chocolate;
4- Myrtle and honey: 2 cl in a suitable goblet, served on artisanal ice cream (stracciatella or vanilla).
This will be followed by an olfactory tasting that includes three 100% pure and natural essential oils available from myrtle, wild lavender, lentisk and rosemary, extracted in a steam current from leaves and flowers of local plants.
Children and young people aged 6 years to 17 years will be offered juice, a small snack with cheese, sausage and carasau bread, and ice cream.
