The tour begins at the equestrian statue of Henri IV, known as “The Good King,” a symbol of the French monarchy. From here, you’ll walk to the peaceful Square du Vert Galant, a tranquil oasis on the island, and then to the historic Place Dauphine, known for its serene atmosphere.

Along the way, you’ll marvel at grand buildings such as the Palais de Justice and the Conciergerie, two of Île de la Cité’s most significant monuments. Your expert guide will share fascinating details, such as the story behind the gilded clock of the Tour de l’Horloge, which has been ticking since 1370, and the history of the Conciergerie, which was used as a prison during the French Revolution.

In this crypt, you will explore the remains of ancient Lutetia, the Roman settlement that became Paris. The site contains relics from Roman, medieval, and modern times, showing the evolution of the city over the centuries.
