The Viking Route is one of the most exciting and impressive tourist activities you can find in Iceland. The tour takes you to discover a great variety of natural wonders that are outside of the urban area of Reykjavik and offers a unique view of the stunning landscapes that characterize the country.
From the departure of Reykjavik, our tour takes us towards picturesque farming towns like Selfoss and Hvollsvöllur, but soon more mountainous landscapes open up that allow us to see glaciers, farms, and volcanoes. On our way, we'll make a stop at the popular Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where we can walk behind the curtain of water, and visit the nearby Gljúfrabúi waterfall, hidden at the back of the mountain.
We continue the route and reach the impressive Skógarfoss waterfall, with a drop of 60 meters. Afterwards, we visit the unique coastal town of Vík í Mýrdal, from where we can appreciate a stunning panoramic view of the coast.
The day culminates with an exciting visit to the black sand beaches of Reynisfjara, where we can photograph the coastline beyond the basalt formations and experience the powerful fury of the North Atlantic.
But that's not all, as the Viking Route also takes us to the Sólheimajökull glacier, a unique opportunity to explore one of Iceland's largest glaciers! After walking on the ice, we return to Reykjavik with some of the most spectacular images that can be taken in our country.
In summary, the Viking Route is a unique adventure that immerses you in the most evocative landscapes of Iceland, visiting unique waterfalls, an impressive coastal town, and of course, the imposing Sólheimajökull glacier. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, don't miss the chance to take this tour, we assure you that you won't regret it!
