Meet your guide 15 minutes before the start of the 120-minute tour, outside the Cobra Cafe on Museumplein, next to the cafe's parking/restroom entrance. Your guide will be carrying an orange umbrella for easy identification. Queue-free entry to the Rijksmuseum is included in your tour, and your guide will have your tickets ready for you.
Once inside the museum, you and your small group will explore the highlights of the Dutch Golden Age, discovering the art and objects that defined the new Dutch Republic. Marvel at the illusionism of still life and interior paintings, be inspired by the magnitude of Rembrandt's 'The Night Watch' and see the doll's house that every child dreams of owning. Along the way, your professional guide will explain the social and historical context that gave rise to one of the largest middle-class art markets the world has ever seen.
After the tour, you're welcome to continue exploring the rest of the more than 8,000 works on display, as your ticket is valid all day. Or you may wish to relax in the café or museum shop.
Please note that special exhibitions are not always included. No large bags, suitcases or umbrellas are allowed inside the museum; only small bags or thin backpacks are allowed. For the enjoyment of all visitors in the museum, some specific rooms are subject to a very quiet or restricted right to speak inside; in this case, your guide will provide information about these places before you enter the specific rooms where this rule applies.
