The excursion begins by exploring the region known locally as the Saddle of Riding, wedged between two of the world's largest mountains, Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. From there to the town of Hilo and finally to Volcanoes National Park.
Among other things, you will enter subway lava tubes, and other places in the volcano national park, depending on the volcano and weather conditions of each day.
As the eruption conditions change daily, the excursion is adjusted to the circumstances of the day. Every effort will be made to allow passengers to see the eruption as close as possible, within what is safe and allowed by park regulations.
