Further on your way you will pass close to the Church of St. Donatus which is believed to have been built by Bishop Donatus on Roman foundations in the beginning of the 9th century. This is most monumental church on the East side of the Adriatic, it is circular in plan, with three naves.

To the eastern of the Forum we come to the 16th c. St Mary Church with a romanseque bell-tower built at the beginning of the 12th c. by the Hungarian – Croatian king Koloman.
