Full description The experience begins in the heart of Venice, at the world-renowned St. Mark’s Square. This open-air museum is the perfect setting for an introduction to Venetian history and architecture. Surrounded by elegant buildings and majestic structures, visitors can explore the historical context and significance of the splendid St. Mark’s Basilica and its neighboring landmarks, key symbols of the grandeur and influence of the former Republic of Venice.

Leaving the busy square behind, the guided walking tour leads into the quieter residential area of Castello. This charming and authentic neighborhood showcases the elegance of Venice from a local perspective, offering a more peaceful and intimate atmosphere away from the crowds. It’s an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the true essence of Venetian life.

Along the way, the tour passes through iconic locations such as Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of the largest squares in Venice, named in honor of the Virgin Mary's visitation. Next is Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, home to the grand church of the same name, where numerous Doges of Venice are buried.
