Full description Explore Portugal's rich wine and cultural heritage on an exclusive tour that will take you to some of its most emblematic places. The experience begins with a visit to the impressive Palácio da Bacalhôa, where you will enjoy a wine tasting and a guided tour of its vineyards. Afterwards, you will discover the famous Setúbal local market and taste typical products accompanied by a glass of wine, all this while immersing yourself in the history and gastronomy of this fascinating country.

The starting point is in the centre of Lisbon, where you will meet your guide to start an unforgettable tour. You'll cross the majestic Tagus River via the iconic 25th of April Bridge, from where you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. This is just the prelude to what awaits you at the Palácio da Bacalhôa, a spectacular estate that embodies the grandeur of Portuguese wine culture. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a local guide who will tell you about the history of the Bacalhôa family and their influence on the region's winemaking traditions.

In addition to its rich history in wine production, the Palácio da Bacalhôa is famous for its impressive art collection, which enhances the cultural experience of the visit. This fusion of art and wine offers you a unique perspective on the cultural richness of the region, where the beauty of art is intertwined with the wine tradition.

The visit begins with a tour of the Quinta da Bacalhôa vineyards, where you will learn about the grape varieties, cultivation methods and winemaking processes that distinguish this region. You will then take a step back in time as you explore a 15th century building within the estate. Afterwards, you will stroll through the beautiful gardens of Buxo and the charming Casa do Lago. This tour will culminate in a wine tasting, where you will taste three exquisite wines from the region: a white wine, a red wine and a muscatel.

After the wine cellar experience, you will head to the charming town of Setubal, known as the heart of Portugal's fishing industry. You'll start with a visit to the Mercado do Livramento, one of the country's most iconic markets, where you'll enjoy a tasting of local delicacies paired with a glass of wine. Here, you'll immerse yourself in the region's vibrant food culture.

Afterwards, you will explore the historic centre of Setubal, with a visit to the Convent of Jesus, a National Monument noted for its imposing architecture and historical importance. The tour culminates with a visit to the São Filipe Castle, from where you can admire the impressive Capela Joanina and enjoy spectacular views of Setubal Bay, considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
