Full description Our fascinating tour begins at Palacio Pereda, the official residence of the Brazilian Ambassador in Buenos Aires, located in a neighborhood that dazzles with its majestic residences of the porteña elite, representing the exquisite architecture of the Belle Époque that dominated between 1880 and 1929. As we move forward, our guide will explain how the economic crisis of 1929 led to the transformation of many of these palaces into embassies. We will pass by the charming Plaza Carlos Pellegrini to enter the elegant Avenida Alvear, where you will find the most prestigious designer shops in Buenos Aires, the Apostolic Nunciature (Palacio Fernández Anchorena), the luxurious Park Hyatt Hotel (Palacio Duhau), and the iconic Maguire Residence, alongside the classic and elegant Alvear Hotel. Our tour will take us to Plaza Intendente Torcuato de Alvear, where we can visit the Church of Our Lady of Pilar, the Recoleta Cultural Center, and appreciate the monuments dedicated to Carlos María de Alvear and Marcelo T. de Alvear. You can't miss the famous and giant Gomeros, trees that have inhabited this place since 1790.
