Full description We extend a warm welcome to you at your accommodation in Catania as your exciting journey begins. Our knowledgeable driver will pick you up, and our first destination is the captivating Piazza Armerina.

Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring Roman Villa of Casale, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in the 4th century AD, this magnificent villa was forgotten until its rediscovery in the 20th century. Explore its vast expanse, encompassing around 3500 square meters of floor mosaics, and witness the grandeur that once belonged to the upper class of the Roman Empire (admission fee not included).

After enjoying some independent time for lunch, we embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to the legendary Valley of the Temples in Agrigento (admission fee not included). This archaeological wonderland has been recognized by UNESCO since 1997. Discover the awe-inspiring Temple of Hera, the majestic Temple of Concordia, the mighty Temple of Hercules, and the venerable Temple of Zeus. Legend traces the origins of Agrigento back to Daedalus and his son Icarus, who reputedly founded the city after their legendary flight from Crete. Historically, it was established in 582 B.C. by Rhodian-Cretan colonists from nearby Gela, who named it Akragas after the nearby river.

You will have the freedom to independently explore the Valley of the Temples on a walking tour, soaking in the profound history and remarkable architecture.
