Full description During your stay in Split, it would be a shame not to visit our beautiful neighboring country that has a lot to offer. Since it is not that far away from Split you can organize some free time for one day to do some exploring. We offer our help to make your life easier and give you the opportunity to explore as much as you can in the given time. Our friendly guide will welcome you there and embark on this beautiful adventure with you. The drive lasts for a bit more than 2 hours.

We go to the highlight of the tour and the jewel of Hercegovina, the town of Mostar. It is the most important town in the Herzegovina region, because it is considered to be its cultural and economic capital. There you will be greeted by a local English-speaking guide who will take you on an hour-long tour of the town. You will have an opportunity to hear about the rich history of the town, see the Old Bridge (which is on the list of the protected cultural heritage sites of UNESCO since 2005 together with the old town) dating back to the 16th century. The architecture of the place represents a symbol of tolerance: a shared life between Muslims, Christians, and Jews. The bridge combines the two religiously divided parts of the town, the Christian and Muslim. After the tour, you will have two and a half hours of free time. You can get lost in the famous bazaar and see the heritage of the oriental culture while buying something to remember this day by. You will see The Turkish house (Kajtaz) and Koskin-Mehmed Pasha’s Mosque. If you are a history buff, you can visit the Museum Of Crimes Against Humanity And Genocide 1992-1995 to learn about the dark side of its history.

The last stop on our tour will be the wonderful Kravica waterfalls or Medjugorje sanctuary. For the Park of nature Kravice, you have an hour and a half. Its most famous cascade is called Kravica waterfall and is protected by the state as a natural rarity. The best part about it is that you can find the necessary refreshments there during those hot summer months. It is called “The Oasis in the stone”.
