Full description Guatapé founded in 1811 is one of the most colorful towns in Colombia, a small town that blends its peasant tradition with indigenous history and Antioquia culture, and reflects it in the form of colorful plinths and streets full of life.

Guatapé is a municipality in Colombia, located in the eastern department of Antioquia, 2 hours from Medellín. A world famous destination for being one of the most colorful towns and for being home to the Piedra del Peñol, with its 220 meters high, which was formed over 80 million years. The baseboards of Guatapé are those small works of art that appear in the lower part of the houses, which in principle served to protect the facades from the voraciousness of the chickens and from humidity. While the Piedra del Peñol is undoubtedly one of the best viewpoints in Colombia and in the entire world.

Join us to visit the great Piedra del Peñol, located 70 kilometers from Medellín and with a large internal staircase that has 740 steps, the Piedra del Peñol is the most visited site by Antioquia.
