Covering almost 34,000 hectares, the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park is one of the largest national parks and the fifth largest in Spain. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is the highest Mediterranean mountain range in Europe, attracting numerous visitors for its natural splendour.

The park's biodiversity is impressive, with approximately 1,280 plant species and a fauna that represents almost 18 percent of all species in Europe.
