Full Description The tour begins in the morning, heading towards the renowned Magellanic penguin reserve of Punta Tombo, located approximately 180 kilometers south of Puerto Madryn. This reserve is world-famous for being home to the largest and most popular Magellanic penguin colony along the coast. Access to the reserve is via gravel roads that bring visitors close to the penguins’ nests and the birds themselves, all set against a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty and uniqueness.

Upon arriving at Punta Tombo, we will walk along well-marked trails that wind through the uneven terrain, native shrubs, and rugged coastline. As we follow the paths, we’ll observe the daily activities of the penguins, from their territorial disputes to their courtship rituals. This natural spectacle allows us to witness the lives of hundreds of thousands of penguin pairs, competing daily for the best nesting spots, food, and space to protect their offspring.

With their distinctive black and white plumage, the Magellanic penguins move along the coast in what seems like a theatrical display of nature. Their black backs and white chests stand out in the Patagonian landscape, forming a perfect example of the unique land-sea wildlife that characterizes this region. It is a privilege to observe these animals in their natural habitat, enjoying the peace and beauty of their surroundings.

After the tour of the reserve, there will be time to enjoy lunch at the site, where you can take in the stunning views of the natural environment and the wildlife that inhabits it.
