Full description This tour offers an eloquent historical and cultural presentation of the city and its monuments, navigating through the main streets and avenues of the nation’s capital.

**Extensive and detailed city history** will be shared en route to the **White House**, where the excursion will stop at Lafayette Square in front of the presidential mansion for a photo session and a historical overview.

**Arlington National Cemetery**
The most important military cemetery in the nation, where we will witness the **solemn military Changing of the Guard Ceremony** in memory of the **Unknown Soldier**. Afterward, we will visit the eternal resting place of the iconic presidential couple, **John and Jacqueline Kennedy**.

**Marine Corps War Memorial - "Iwo Jima"**
This famous bronze sculpture represents six marines raising the flagpole atop **Mount Suribachi** during the **Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945**. While the scene depicts one of the most renowned battles of **World War II**, the monument is dedicated to all U.S. Marines who have given their lives defending the country since **1775**.

**Lincoln Memorial**
This neoclassical temple, located at the western end of the National Mall, honors the **16th President of the United States**.

**Washington D.C. Tour**
At the designated time, we will return to the bus and explore the **urban layout of the capital**, which was inspired by **Versailles** and designed by urban planner **Pierre L’Enfant**. Historical narratives will provide context, significance, and relevance to the city, which continues to follow its original blueprint from **1791**.

**“U.S. Capitol”**
Our next stop is the **Capitol Building**, recognized as the most important building in the country and the center of the nation’s attention. This is where elected presidents take the constitutional oath of office every four years. The site also offers an **impressive panoramic view of the Washington Monument and the National Mall**, surrounded by the Smithsonian Institution Museums. We will pause for a group photo session on the **west side of the façade**.

**Tour Conclusion at L’Enfant Plaza**
We will board the bus once again and conclude the tour at L’Enfant Plaza. For your convenience, this location features a **spacious and modern gallery** with a food court and/or restaurant patio, as well as a variety of shops.

L’Enfant Plaza also hosts an important **METRO station** and is located just **7 minutes from the Smithsonian Institution Castle**, a central information point for the free museums. From here, you can easily walk to the **National Gallery of Art**, the **Air and Space Museum**, or any of the nearby museums, all within 50 meters of each other.
