Discover Bratislava, the charming capital of Slovakia, on a day trip from Vienna. Just 80 km away, both cities share a rich history and were once capitals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The tour begins with departure by bus from Vienna Hauptbahnhof – stop C1 at 09:50 AM. The transfer is operated by Slovak Lines, arriving in Bratislava – Most SNP stop at approximately 11:20 AM.
Upon arrival, you will have free time until noon to explore the city at your own pace. Around 12:00 PM, you will meet the guide at the main entrance of the Park Inn by Radisson Danube Hotel, located just 250 meters from the bus stop. From there, you will begin a guided tour of approximately one hour through Bratislava’s historic center, discovering iconic landmarks such as St. Martin’s Cathedral, the Slovak National Theatre, the Slovak Philharmonic in the Reduta building, and the Man at Work statue. You will also visit the Main Square, home to the Roland Fountain, the statue of the Napoleonic soldier, and the Old Town Hall. The tour continues with a stop at the Franciscan Church, the oldest sacred building in the city, and concludes at St. Michael’s Gate and the Trinity Church.
After the tour, the guide will accompany you to a restaurant where you can enjoy a typical two-course menu, excluding drinks. If you prefer a vegetarian option, please inform us in advance.
Following lunch, at approximately 2:30 PM, you will head to the Sladovna – House of Beer microbrewery for a craft beer tasting. During the visit, you will sample three local craft beers accompanied by a pretzel.
After the tasting, you will have free time in Bratislava to continue exploring the city at your leisure.
The return bus departs at approximately 6:08 PM from the same Most SNP stop, arriving at Vienna Hauptbahnhof around 7:25 PM.
