Bratislava and Vienna are two of the closest capital cities in Europe. Both cities share historical roots, having been capitals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Bratislava was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, while Vienna was the capital of the Kingdom of Austria.
The bus departs from Vienna Hauptbahnhof – bus stop C1 at around 09:50 AM. Transfers are operated by Slovak Lines, with arrival in Bratislava at around 11:20 AM at the Most SNP bus stop. You will have free time in Bratislava until around 12:00 PM. At noon, you will meet your guide at the main entrance of the Park Inn by Radisson Danube Hotel, located just 250 meters from the bus stop. You will only need to cross the pedestrian crossing.
Next, enjoy a one-hour walking tour of the historical city center of Bratislava. During the tour, you will discover key highlights such as St. Martin’s Cathedral, Slovak National Theater, the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra at Reduta, and the Man at Work Statue. You will also visit the Main Square with the Roland Fountain, the statue of a Napoleonic soldier, and the Old Town Hall. The tour continues to the oldest sacral building in Bratislava – the Franciscan Church, and ends at St. Michael’s Gate and Trinity Church.
After the tour, the guide will take you to a restaurant where you can order coffee and cake.
Afterwards, you will have free time in Bratislava to walk, shop, or simply enjoy the beauty along the Danube.
The bus will depart from the Most SNP bus stop at around 18:08 PM, the same stop where you arrived in Bratislava. Arrival in Vienna is expected at around 19:25 PM at Vienna Hauptbahnhof.
