You'll also have the chance to take a photo stop at the Corinth Canal before visiting Ancient Corinth and the Monastery of Daphni, renowned for its stunning 11th-century Byzantine mosaics.

Your tour begins with a morning pick-up from your centrally located hotel, followed by a picturesque drive to Corinth along the Sacred Way (Iera Odos). This route was historically used for processions in honor of the Eleusinian Mysteries, ancient Greek rites dedicated to the goddesses Demeter and Persephone, centered in Eleusis.

Your first stop is at the Daphni Monastery, an 11th-century Byzantine marvel and a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the Monasteries of Hosios Loukas and Nea Moni in Chios. Inside, you'll be amazed by the intricate mosaics, a prime example of Classical idealism from the Middle Byzantine period. These mosaics depict various scenes from the lives of Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Continue your journey along the scenic coastal road until you reach the Corinth Canal, where the Aegean and Ionian Seas meet. It was here that St. Paul lived and preached for two years, as mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 18:1-18). Explore the ruins of the city where Paul worked alongside Aquila and Priscilla, visit the remains of first-century shops, and see the Agora, where Paul stood trial before Gallio. Don’t miss the Fountain of Peirene and the magnificent Temple of Apollo, one of the most remarkable structures from the pre-Roman era.
