The Nahuel Huapi National Park is a large protected area in the Lake District, in the Argentinean Patagonia. The park is known for the Nahuel Huapi, the largest glacial lake. On its shores lie the towns of San Carlos de Bariloche, famous for its chocolate industry, and Villa La Angostura. To the west, it borders the Andes, where you'll find the high-altitude Cerro Tronador, a dormant volcano. The forested areas are home to pudúes, a rare species of deer.
Lake Nahuel Huapi, on the other hand, is a glacial lake in Argentine Patagonia. It is shared by the Argentine provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro, and is largely surrounded by the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It has a surface area of 557 km² and is situated at an altitude of about 700 m above sea level.
