Discover Porto, one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal and also one of the oldest in Europe, renowned for its unique historic centre declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our tour starts outside the Cathedral of Porto Sé, a historical landmark in the old town, the birthplace of Porto. The "Morro da Sé" is the oldest quarter of Porto.
Dating back to the 12th century, it has undergone many reconstructions throughout history, hence the different styles. Most of the cathedral is baroque, although the structure of the façade and the body of the church are Romanesque, and the cloister and the chapel of São João Evangelista are Gothic.
Next, we will head to the São Bento Train Station, where our expert guide will explain in its lobby the importance of this building and the famous scenes of Portuguese history recreated in its impressive tiles.
Afterwards, from our comfortable minibus, you will explore the main historical buildings, such as Batalha Square, the famous Santa Catarina shopping street (where you can find the iconic Café Majestic), old churches and many monuments through the traditional cobbled streets.
You will have the opportunity to stop near the Livraria Lello & Irmão, a remarkable neo-gothic monument, and the Torre dos Clérigos, the tallest building in Porto, so you can admire it from the outside and have the chance to take the best pictures.
After this part of the tour, we will head to Vila Nova de Gaia, where you will enjoy a guided visit to a renowned winery where you will have the opportunity to taste the flavour of two Port wines, and then enjoy an amazing lunch!
Finally, the tour will culminate with a relaxing panoramic cruise across the 6 bridges on the Douro River, offering you a unique view of the city from the water.
